Prestige Learning ("we", "us", "our") is a brand of Prestige Ventures, based in the Netherlands. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal data when you use our platform at prestigelearning.nl.

1. Data We Collect

When you create an account or use our platform, we may collect:

• Account information — your email address and password (encrypted)
• Profile data — your study major and year, which you provide during onboarding
• Usage data — which courses and topics you access, progress tracking
• Payment information — processed securely via Stripe; we do not store card details
• Referral data — referral codes used or generated, and associated token activity

2. How We Use Your Data

• To provide and personalise your learning experience
• To process payments and manage subscriptions
• To send transactional emails (account confirmation, password reset)
• To operate the referral and token system
• To improve the platform and fix bugs

We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

3. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored securely using Supabase with row-level security. Passwords are hashed and never stored in plain text. We use HTTPS for all data transmission.

4. Cookies

We use only essential cookies necessary for authentication (session tokens) and your theme preference. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

5. Your Rights (GDPR)

As a user based in the EU/EEA, you have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Request correction or deletion of your data
• Object to or restrict processing of your data
• Receive a copy of your data (data portability)

6. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

• Supabase — database and authentication
• Stripe — payment processing
• Vercel — website hosting
• Google Fonts — typography (fonts loaded from Google CDN)

Each service has its own privacy policy. We recommend reviewing them if you have concerns.

7. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your personal data is removed within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.
